Join our NDIA Squad to find your fulfillment again!

Apply today for your position in WYWM’s Squad helping thousands of Australia’s most vulnerable community members thanks to a partnership with the National Disability Insurance Agency.

What does the NDIS Squad do?

WYWM have opportunities for veterans to work with the NDIS as Local Area Coordinators (LAC) in the Northern Territory. LAC’s will work closely with participants and their families to identify what current and future supports are required to make progress with that person’s goals and aspirations and enable a good life.

They will also handle complex and sensitive conversations and consider many factors that need to be balanced in order to understand how disability impacts on daily living. Local Area Coordinators understand the support needs and identifies when the individual would benefit from early intervention.
The  LAC’s will cover some of the most remote parts of Australia, focused on the outback of the Northern Territory where more than 7,000 NDIS participants are located. More than 60% of these individuals are Indigenous Australians. We are looking for veterans to join our Squad in the following locations:

Alice Springs

WithYouWithMe CEO and Co-Founder Tom Moore said: “This program is going to provide an avenue for Aussie veterans to continue to serve their country in a new way. Veterans have great skills they’ve built to be successful in these remote communities, and in particular helping those with disabilities access essential services.

“I want to thank the NDIA for putting trust into our veteran community to help those with disabilities in regional Australia, and hope to have even more joining the program in the coming months.”

The program is open to any current or ex-serving Australian defence force member who is looking to kick-start a new career in regional Northern Territory. For those interested, make sure you do the following.
